Key Trends and Challenges Facing the Information Management Profession: 2014 ARMA International and Forrester Research Survey Report

 Thursday October 22 2015, 12-1:30pm

ARMA International has collaborated with Forrester Research over the last six years to track the trends, challenges, and evolution of records management and information governance. This session, with a focus on Canadian data, will highlight some of the key findings of the survey and help RIM professionals benchmark against their global peers. Principal Analyst at Forrester Research, Cheryl McKinnon, will present the survey findings and discuss where Forrester sees Records and Information Management heading in 2016 and beyond.

*** Note: Conference will be given in English ***

Cheryl McKinnon is a Principal Analyst at Forrester Research serving the needs of Enterprise Architects. Her coverage areas include: enterprise content management, records management, archiving, information governance, and eDiscovery.   Before joining Forrester, Cheryl ran an independent consulting firm, serving both private and public sector clients. Cheryl has previously served as VP of Marketing for AIIM, Chief Marketing Officer of Nuxeo, and has held senior management roles with OpenText and Hummingbird. Cheryl has frequently presents at conferences, seminars and webinars. She is a longtime member of industry associations AIIM and ARMA and has served on association conference and standards committees. In 2013 she was named Member of the Year by the National Capital Region chapter. Cheryl has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Winnipeg, a Master’s degree from Carleton University and has completed coursework towards a PhD at the University of Ottawa, though she remains (regrettably) “ABD”.
